DON’T PUT THE GROUP CHAT IN CHARGE
A short guide to getting out before everybody loses interest.

The group chat has killed more nights than bad music.
Choose the date. Confirm AQVA’s current programme. Decide whether this is dancing, conversation, celebration or the lie known as “one drink.” Invite people whose answers belong in the same evening.
Then settle the unglamorous details early: arrival, departure and responsibility for the friend who treats a full battery as a personal attack.
Dress for the room, but mostly for the version of yourself you want to meet there. If the shoes begin negotiations before you leave home, they are not coming.
Once inside, stop producing the night.
You have already done enough.
