AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

Marvel’s confirmed premise places beloved heroes from three separate universes on a collision course with an existential threat. That changes the grammar of an Avengers film. The danger is not simply arriving from somewhere else; the worlds these characters call home are being pulled into the same frame.

Joe and Anthony Russo return to direct, with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito and Jonathan Schwartz producing. Their task is not only scale. It is clarity: making a room full of histories, rivalries and unfinished endings feel like one gathering—and one approaching catastrophe.

The official artwork refuses the comfort of a familiar team portrait. Doctor Doom stands with his back to us, framed by metal, shadow and the suggestion of worlds under pressure. Robert Downey Jr. returns within an ensemble where recognition is deliberately uneasy: the face may be known, but the role rewrites what that recognition means.

Marvel’s announced cast crosses Avengers, Wakanda, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. Alongside Robert Downey Jr. are Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn and Sebastian Stan.

David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Kathryn Newton, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Alan Cumming, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, Mabel Cadena and Tenoch Huerta Mejia complete the announced ensemble. The interest is not the headcount; it is which alliances survive first contact.
